Uninstalling
Relyagent gives you a few ways to stop AI clients from connecting — from a reversible deactivation that keeps all your data, to a full, permanent removal. This page covers both, plus how to just pause access without uninstalling anything.
Deactivate (reversible)
To turn Relyagent off, go to Setup → Addon Modules, find Relyagent, and click Deactivate. WHMCS confirms with:
Deactivation message
"Relyagent deactivated. Database tables preserved."
Deactivation stops runtime features and removes generated hook files while preserving all database tables:
- Data retention: audit logs, connection credentials, and settings remain untouched.
- Lossless reactivation: reactivating the module immediately restores all configurations and connections.
Remove all data (irreversible)
To delete all data permanently, complete deactivation first, then drop database tables:
- Deactivate module: follow the deactivation steps in WHMCS.
- Drop database tables: using phpMyAdmin or MySQL CLI, drop all tables prefixed with
mod_relyagent_*.
This cannot be undone
Dropping the mod_relyagent_* tables permanently deletes your audit log, all connections and their configuration — and the stored OAuth connection secrets, so any AI client that was still configured will simply stop connecting. There is no undo — export anything you want to keep (for example, the audit log CSV) beforehand.
Temporarily disable instead
If your goal is simply to stop AI clients from connecting for a while — not to uninstall — you have lighter options that leave the module in place:
- Global toggle: disable Allow AI clients to connect under Settings → MCP Settings → AI Client Connections to pause all connections instantly.
- Targeted revoke: click Revoke on specific connections under Addons → Relyagent → MCP Clients to disconnect individual clients without affecting others.
Pause, don't uninstall
These options are the right choice for maintenance windows or a short break — they keep all your configuration and history intact and are reversible in one click.
