Uninstalling
Deactivating GeoSync Pro is safe and reversible, while complete data removal is a permanent step. This guide covers deactivation, full removal, and temporarily pausing currency switching.
Deactivate (reversible)
To turn GeoSync Pro off, go to Setup → Addon Modules, find GeoSync Pro, and click Deactivate. WHMCS confirms with:
Deactivation message
"GeoSync Pro deactivated. Database tables preserved."
When you deactivate GeoSync Pro:
- Hook removal: Removes the hook loader; guests immediately revert to default WHMCS currency behavior.
- Data preservation: Retains all database tables (
mod_geosync_pro_*), preserving configuration and analytics history. - Safe reactivation: Reactivating the module restores full functionality with existing settings intact.
Remove all data (irreversible)
If you want to erase GeoSync Pro's data entirely — for example, before removing the module for good — first deactivate it (above), then drop its database tables manually. GeoSync Pro's tables are all named with the prefix mod_geosync_pro_*.
This cannot be undone
Dropping mod_geosync_pro_* tables permanently erases all configuration settings and analytics history. Back up your database before proceeding.
Temporarily disable instead
To pause currency localisation without deactivating the addon:
- Open Addons → GeoSync Pro → Currency.
- Toggle Enable Currency Localisation to off.
Currency switching halts immediately while all mappings, settings, and analytics remain saved.
Empty analytics after replacing files?
If you updated files manually and analytics appear empty, deactivate and reactivate GeoSync Pro once under Setup → Addon Modules to regenerate missing tables without losing saved settings.
