Requirements

Confirm your server meets the requirements below before installing GeoSync Pro. The ionCube Loader is required to run the encoded module.

The ionCube Loader

GeoSync Pro ships as an ionCube-encoded build and requires the standard ionCube Loader PHP extension. Because WHMCS itself uses ionCube, most WHMCS environments already have it enabled.

Supported loader versions by PHP release:

• PHP 8.2: ionCube Loader 13.0.2 or newer
• PHP 8.3: ionCube Loader 14.4.0 or newer
• PHP 8.4 & 8.5: ionCube Loader 15.x or newer

A single encoded build runs across all supported PHP and loader versions without separate packages.

GeoSync Pro will not run without ionCube

If the loader is missing or too old, GeoSync Pro's encoded pages won't load at all. Ask your host to enable ionCube Loader 13.0.2 or newer for your PHP version, then reload.

About the geolocation service

GeoSync Pro detects a visitor's country from their public IP address via ip-api.com. Your server must allow outbound HTTP requests to this geolocation endpoint.

Privacy

Only the visitor's public IP is sent to the lookup service — no credentials and no personal data. GeoSync Pro itself stores only anonymous, aggregate counts; it never keeps IP addresses.

Why Full Administrator access

WHMCS controls addon module permissions by administrator role:

• Grant permissions: Assign access to Full Administrator (and any other managing roles) during activation.
• Access Denied: If permissions are missing, module pages display Access Denied or stay hidden.
• Update access: Configure roles anytime under Configuration → System Settings → Administrator Roles.

Why a license

GeoSync Pro requires an active license for currency localisation:

• Activate key: Enter your license key during Installation.
• Manage license: View status under Addons → GeoSync Pro → Settings → License Information.
• License types: Review details in Licensing.

How to check

You don't need to guess at any of this:

• PHP version and extensions: Open Utilities → System → PHP Info in WHMCS admin. Verify PHP 8.2+ with curl, json, and zip.
• ionCube Loader: Check the PHP Info page for ionCube Loader version 13.0.2+.
• WHMCS version: View in the WHMCS admin footer or under Help → System Health Status.
• Outbound HTTP: Verify server firewalls allow outbound HTTP calls to ip-api.com.
