# Universal rewrite

Rewrite text across AcelleMail directly in place:

* **Sparkle popover:** Highlight text in campaign editors, templates, or forms to reveal the **sparkle (✦)** menu.
* **Rewrite badge:** Supported form fields display an embedded badge for quick triggering.
* **Feature flag:** Controlled by **Universal Rewrite** under **RelyAI → Settings → Feature Flags** (enabled by default).

## The six intents

| Intent | What you get |
| --- | --- |
| **Improve** | A cleaner, tighter version that keeps your meaning |
| **Shorter** | The same message in fewer words |
| **Expand** | More detail and context added to a thin line |
| **Fix grammar** | Spelling and grammar corrected, wording left alone |
| **Formal** | A more professional, buttoned-up tone |
| **Friendly** | A warmer, more conversational tone |

## How to use it

1. Select the text you want to change.
2. Click the **✦** in the popover (or the rewrite badge on a supported field).
3. Choose an intent.
4. The selected text is replaced in place with the rewrite.

If you don't like the result, rewrite again with a different intent, or undo as usual in the field.

## On-brand and on-guard

Rewrites adhere to predefined safety and voice guidelines:

* **Brand voice:** Applies tone adjectives, forbidden word filters, and reference samples configured under Settings.
* **URL hallucination defence:** Validates model-generated links and strips or updates invalid URLs automatically.
