# Error reference

This page lists common error and status messages in GST Manager, their underlying causes, and resolution steps. For guided diagnostics, see [Troubleshooting](/gst-manager-acellemail/troubleshooting).

## ionCube

### "ionCube Loader required. Contact support@relyweb.co"

* **Cause:** Server lacks the ionCube PHP extension.
* **Fix:** Install ionCube Loader 13.0.2+ for your active PHP version, restart the web server, and reload. See [Requirements](/gst-manager-acellemail/requirements).

## License and access

### "GST Manager needs an active license before you can use Dashboard, Setup, or Reports. Paste your key below to activate."

* **Cause:** No license key is saved in the installation.
* **Fix:** Paste your license key on the License page and click **Activate License**.

### "The stored GST Manager license key is not currently Active on the Relyweb license server. Re-activate below to restore access."

* **Cause:** Key status is not Active, often caused by domain/IP mismatch or prolonged validation outage.
* **Fix:** Click **Re-activate** on the License page to restore full admin access.

### "GST Manager is not licensed on this install. Activate a license key under Plugin Settings → License."

* **Cause:** The installation lacks a valid license registration.
* **Fix:** Navigate to **Plugin Settings → License** and activate your key.

### "License could not be activated: :reason"

* **Cause:** Activation failed due to domain, IP, directory path mismatch, or license status.
* **Fix:** Review `:reason`, update domain/IP bindings in your Relyweb client portal, and retry.

### "License deactivated on this domain."

* **Cause:** Successful license release from the current installation.
* **Fix:** Normal confirmation state. Admin features remain locked until reactivated.

### "License activated — welcome, :name."

* **Cause:** Successful license verification.
* **Fix:** Normal confirmation state. Full GST admin features are unlocked.

## Updates

### "Could not reach the update server (...). Your plugin continues to work normally."

* **Cause:** Plugin could not reach the release endpoint, or no updates are published yet.
* **Fix:** No immediate action needed. The installed version continues running normally. Retry later.

### "Your Support & Updates plan has expired or is not active. Renew it to install updates. Your current version continues to work normally."

* **Cause:** Newer release exists, but Lifetime Support & Updates coverage is expired.
* **Fix:** Renew the support plan via the Relyweb portal to download updates. The current version remains fully operational.

### "vX is published but its download is not yet available — please contact support."

* **Cause:** Release record is published but the download archive is still provisioning.
* **Fix:** Contact support@relyweb.co for archive availability.

### "Update failed: :reason"

* **Cause:** In-place update aborted due to environment or file permission errors.
* **Fix:** The plugin automatically rolls back to the previous version. Check `:reason`, resolve file permissions, and retry.

### "Update verification failed"

* **Cause:** Downloaded archive failed integrity or checksum checks.
* **Fix:** Previous version remains active. Retry update or upload ZIP via **Admin → Plugins → Upload Plugin**.

## Invoice download

### "Invoice not found."

* **Cause:** Requested invoice ID or number does not exist.
* **Fix:** Verify the invoice number from the AcelleMail invoice index.

### "You are not allowed to view this invoice."

* **Cause:** Active session lacks permissions for the target invoice.
* **Fix:** Log in as the invoice owner or an administrator.

## GSTIN

### "GSTIN is invalid."

* **Cause:** Input failed 15-character structural format, state code, PAN pattern, or Luhn mod-36 checksum.
* **Fix:** Enter a valid GSTIN formatted as `22AAAAA0000A1Z5`. See [GSTIN validation](/gst-manager-acellemail/guides/gstin-validation).
